About Us

Steve Budak got his first taste of construction work in 1972 with his uncle. He learned the basics of house building, from pouring foundation to framing to drywall to siding, and even the finer details like installing kitchen cupboards and trim.

Confident with what he’d learned, the next year Steve launched his own framing and renovation company called Steve’s Construction. He worked with dozens of well-known builders, and developed his own solid reputation and enough experience to broaden his business.

In 1986 he created his present company, Steve Budak Construction Ltd. The new, more mature company focused on new house construction from design to finished product. For the last 33 years, Steve’s built hundreds of homes in Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge and still feels the same satisfaction as when he started: creating something from nothing and a place where people call home.

As a family run business, we are better able to provide one-on-one consultation with our clients. We work only with the finest tradespeople and materials. Our goal has always been quality over quantity.
